Authy Headed To SIGNAL London
When it comes to geeking out over code & tech, why should the San Francisco have all the fun? We all had such a wild ride at this past Spring’s SIGNAL conference that Twilio asked us to let you know it’s coming to London next month.
Signal UK, the Developer Conference for Communications, is a one-day event designed to celebrate the innovation, tips, tricks and connections that coders, programmers, and entrepreneurs live by. Signal UK will take place at an excellent space in East London, The Brewery, on Tuesday, September 20th. And as it’s close to the Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Barbican Tube stations, and served by at least 10 bus routes, it’s really easy to get to.
Like our hugely popular SIGNAL conference in the US, Signal UK will include inspiring keynotes from tech leaders, hands-on presentations, and lots of coding fun. The conference offers exciting discussion and sage advice on innovation and tech, and will provide attendees with a platform to exchange ideas, connect with other influential developers, and create lasting business relationships that will inspire and equip you to change communications forever.
But don’t take it from us. Here are verbatims by Signal attendees:
Authy @ #SignalLondon
At Signal UK, you’ll learn best practices from the engineers who create and innovate the Twilio product-stack, and from companies that have shipped and scaled hugely successful Twilio-powered apps, including Authy.
In fact, one of the sessions will be “Security Ain’t No Game– Hear How Twitch Implemented Authy for 2FA,”, a lively discussion with Authy GM Marc Boroditsky and Twitch Product Manager, Sudesh Peram. We’ve had a great relationship with our partners at Twitch, and if you are a Twitch broadcaster or follower, you’ve certainly come across how easy two-factor authentication is from a user perspective.
And, there are more than two dozen speakers confirmed for this year’s event, including:
- Chris Pope of Service Now, @Chris_Pope_NOW
- Joseph Seal Driver, UK Director of DriveNow, @JosephSealDrive
- Julia Ferraioli, Software Engineer at Google, @juliaferraioli
- Katy Moe, Javascript engineer at Improbable, makers of SpatialOS, @katyemoe
- Lukas Oberhuber of Simply Business, @lukasco
- Peter Gasston of rehabstudio, @stopsatgreen
Plus, you’ll meet many Twilions AND Grammy-nominated recording artist, multi-platinum music producer, and avid technologist Ryan Leslie of SuperPhone.io, @ryanleslie

And one more great quote!
“Collaboration and encouragement seemed to be a large theme at SIGNAL; I felt welcomed and encouraged throughout the conference, and would recommend any beginning developer who has the opportunity to attends next year to jump at the chance.”
